Air Dried

Ideal for construction projects that require minimal movement or a weathered appearance, air-dried oak has naturally dried for 1 to 3 years, resulting in a darker, discoloured look with desirable traditional surface checking. It’s common to hand plane, sand, or shot-blast the surfaces before use, or you can opt for us to plane them for you. Due to their inherent splits and surface checking, air-dried beams are frequently utilized in restoration work or repairs to closely match existing aged timber.
